Staring is the fixation of the gaze on a particular prey (or item perceived as prey).

This cat is in a stalking posture – the body is crouched and close to the ground, the neck is extended forwards towards the prey and the eyes are staring at the prey.

In the following photographs the cat is staring at a rodent. Using the cat’s stare as a guide in each photograph see if you can identify the location of the rodent, click on your chosen location and a red circle will appear around the rodent to notify you that you have found it if you are correct!
